Use your planner to record the agenda and homework at the beginning of class each day.
  1. "Carry Your Own Skis" Key Vocabulary Literature Book (LB) p. 520
    • Key Vocabulary P. 520:
      • Use Cornell Notes to record the 6 selection vocabulary words, definitions and examples.
        • Teacher will stamp upon completion (see C-note example)
      • Complete "Vocabualry Builder", All in One Workbook, p. 152.(Handout)
        • Teacher will give students enough time to work together to complete, then review on Elmo.
      • Complete "Vocabulary" LB p. 527 Analogies
        • Teacher will explain analogies and review the directions, then give students time to work together to complete.
        • Students should copy the entire analogy pairs and their answers for full credit.
  2. Reading Warm-up B and Vocabulary Warm-up B (handouts)
    • Reading Warm-up
      • Teacher will read the Reading Warm-up aloud with class, stopping to discuss as necessary.
      • Students will then re-read the selection and complete the questions 1-8 in the margins.
    • Vocabulary Warm-up B
      • If time, review the instructions and complete 1-8.
